OUR PERMITS

NOTE

Children between 3 and 17 years old receive a discount of USD 10.00 (on the Machu Picchu tour).
Children under 2 years old do not pay for services but must travel on their parents’ arms.
Minors not traveling with their biological parents must present the corresponding authorization issued by the competent authorities in their country of origin.
General Tourist Ticket cost: Adults S/.130.00, Students S/.70.00, and children under 10 years old do not pay the Tourist Ticket.

RECOMMENDATIONS

For trekking tours, good health and physical condition are recommended. Not suitable for pregnant women or people with heart conditions.
For high-altitude tours, it is recommended to acclimatize at least one day before the tour. Eat light meals, drink plenty of water, and take short walks.

WHAT TO BRING

Valid passport or ID card and visa if required
Appropriate clothing for the visited areas, sunglasses, hat, suitable footwear, sunscreen, water, comfortable clothes, cash, and a suitable backpack
Vaccination card according to the visited regions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF RESERVATION

The following terms and conditions form the basis of your contract with Viajes Pachacutec. By paying your deposit, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers accidents, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, rescue, and air ambulance. We also recommend coverage for trip cancellation and luggage loss. Please send a copy or the company name and policy number by email or bring the information to our office.

FORCE MAJEURE

This refers to any event that Viajes Pachacutec could not foresee or prevent, even with due care. This includes wars or threats, riots, civil unrest, terrorist activities, labor disputes, illnesses, disasters, adverse weather conditions, fires, or similar events beyond our control.

In such cases, Viajes Pachacutec will not accept responsibility and reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the trip (as a last resort).

PAYMENT METHODS

Full or partial payment is required to confirm your reservation dates. Payments can be made via PayPal (international), Yape, or interbank transfer (national). PayPal or the mentioned methods will debit the corresponding amount. Your credit card company may convert the charge to your local currency and may apply currency conversion or other fees. We are not responsible for currency conversion or credit card provider fees.

TRANSACTION FEES AND TAX (VAT)

Published prices do not include transaction fees. A 6% fee applies for PayPal payments (foreign tourists) and a 5% fee for payment links (Peruvian tourists in soles). VAT (IGV) is exempt for foreign tourists. For Peruvian residents, an additional 18% tax applies.

PAYMENTS, CANCELLATIONS, AND REFUNDS

Peru & Cusco Tour Packages

Cancellation 30 days before travel: 20% penalty
Cancellation 15 days before travel: 50% penalty
Cancellation 5 days before travel: 80% penalty
No refunds for altitude sickness, food poisoning, family emergencies, or any other reason. NO EXCEPTIONS. Travel insurance is highly recommended.

Cusco Day Tours

Full payment is required for group tours and 50% for private tours.

75% refundable up to 1 day before departure
50% refundable up to 48 hours before departure
No refunds for altitude sickness, food poisoning, family emergencies, or any other reason. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Machu Picchu Tours

A 75% deposit is required to reserve dates. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. The remaining balance can be paid upon arrival at our office. No refunds for any reason. NO EXCEPTIONS. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

OPERATOR CANCELLATIONS

The operator reserves the right to modify or cancel any trip due to weather or other circumstances. Once the tour has departed from Cusco, no part of the package is refundable. If the operator cancels the tour due to force majeure after departure, no refunds will be issued. Weather conditions may change without notice. If the tour must be canceled during the trip, no refunds will be provided.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

We try to accommodate special dietary requirements, but due to remote conditions, this is not always possible. We must be informed in advance. If you have life-threatening allergies, you must carry the appropriate medical equipment.

CONFIRMATION EMAIL

Once payment is completed, you will receive a confirmation email with important details about what to expect, what to bring, and meeting point and time. Please read it carefully and ensure you are properly prepared.

CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The operator reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. All reservations are subject to the terms in force at the time of booking.

We maintain technical, physical, and administrative security measures to protect your personal information:

Only the administrator has access to your passport or ID for reservations
Our antivirus system is regularly updated
Our communication systems are password-protected
Your personal data will not be shared with third parties under any circumstances
