Itinerary
Pick up and departure from Arequipa: Between 03:00 and 03:30 a.m. we will pick you up from your accommodation to begin the journey to the Colca Valley. The trip lasts approximately 3 hours.
Breakfast in Chivay: Brief stop to enjoy a simple breakfast and recharge energy before continuing the journey.
Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint: We arrive at the most emblematic point of the valley. From here you can appreciate the impressive depth of the canyon and, if nature allows it, the flight of the Andean condor in its natural habitat.
Start of the Trekking – San Miguel (3,300 m): Transfer to San Miguel, where the descent to the bottom of the canyon begins. The hike crosses trails surrounded by Andean vegetation and panoramic views.
Lunch in San Juan de Chuccho: Arrival at the picturesque village where lunch is served. Short rest time.
Hike to Sangalle: We continue passing through Cosñirhua and Malata, traditional villages with typical rural architecture.
Arrival at Sangalle Oasis (1,900 m): Arrival at the natural oasis surrounded by mountains.
Time to enjoy the natural pools, relax and share dinner.
Overnight: Night in shared bungalows in the oasis.
Early ascent to Cabanaconde: Approximate departure at 05:00 a.m. to begin the ascent. Demanding but rewarding hike, accompanied by sunrise over the canyon.
Breakfast in Cabanaconde: Upon arrival, a simple breakfast is enjoyed before continuing the journey.
Panoramic route to Chivay: During the trip there are stops to observe pre-Inca and Inca agricultural terraces, colonial villages and high Andean landscapes.
Yanque Hot Springs (Optional): Free time to relax in natural hot springs.
Lunch in Chivay buffet
Return to Arequipa: Journey crossing the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where alpacas, llamas, vicuñas and guanacos can be observed.
Approximate arrival in Arequipa: 17:30 p.m.
