Rainbow Mountain ATV Experience
This experience combines adventure, nature, and extreme landscapes in one of the most impressive areas of the southern Peruvian Andes.
After a short training session, you will ride your ATV across high-Andean plains, reddish mountains, and open routes, enjoying privileged views of the Ausangate glacier, all within a pristine high-altitude environment.
Unlike the traditional tour, this route significantly reduces the hiking time, allowing you to enjoy Rainbow Mountain in a different, dynamic, and exciting way, without losing the natural essence of the destination.

Itinerary
Departure and panoramic route: We will pick you up from your hotel at approximately 04:30 a.m., as long as it is located within Cusco’s historic center. From there, we begin our journey south along a panoramic route that crosses Andean valleys, rural communities, and high-mountain landscapes.
During the journey, the guide will share information about the geography, local life, and surrounding natural environment.
Andean breakfast in Cusipata: We make a strategic stop in Cusipata, where we enjoy an Andean buffet breakfast, ideal for acclimatization and recharging energy before starting the adventure activity.
ATV practice session: We continue to the ATV base, located between 4,000 and 4,500 m a.s.l.

The guide supervises the entire process to ensure a safe experience.
ATV route: We begin the ATV ride along stable and open trails, passing through:
- High-Andean plains
- Reddish mountains and natural formations
- Wide views of the Ausangate glacier
Short stops are made during the route for rest and photography.
Hike to Rainbow Mountain – Vinicunca: At the end of the ATV route, we begin a short hike to the main viewpoint of Vinicunca. The trail has a constant incline but remains accessible, always accompanied by the guide.
At the viewpoint, you will enjoy:

- Open high-Andean landscapes
- Ideal scenarios for unique photographs
Lunch and return to Cusco: After the visit, we return along the same path to the ATVs and head back to Cusipata, where we enjoy a buffet lunch.
Afterwards, we begin the return journey to Cusco, arriving at approximately 16:30 p.m.
