Itinerary
The adventure begins very early with pickup from your accommodation in the Historic Center of Cusco, to begin our road trip toward Santa Teresa.
During the journey, we will enjoy impressive Andean landscapes, passing through valleys, mountains, and cloud forest.
Day route:
- Pickup from your hotel in Cusco (previously coordinated time).
- Travel by tourist transport to Santa Teresa (approx. 4 hours).
- Stop to enjoy a delicious included lunch.
- Continuation to Hydroelectric, the starting point of our hike.
- Hike of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to Aguas Calientes, surrounded by lush nature and views of the Urubamba River.
- Arrival in the town of Aguas Calientes and check-in at the accommodation.
- Informative briefing between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. with the guide, where the itinerary for the next day will be explained.
- Overnight stay in Aguas Calientes.
The big day has arrived!
After breakfast, we will begin the transfer together with our guide toward the entrance of this world wonder.

Transfer by Consettur Bus to the main entrance gate of Machu Picchu.
Entrance and guided tour of Machu Picchu
After passing the entrance control, you will enjoy the first panoramic views of Machu Picchu, one of the most exciting moments of the trip, ideal for unforgettable photographs.
Afterward, we will begin a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, visiting the most representative sectors of the citadel with a professional authorized guide, who will share historical, archaeological, and cultural information.
During the tour you will learn about:
- The urban planning and advanced Inca engineering.
- The ceremonial, religious, and agricultural use of the citadel.
- The mysteries and secrets of Machu Picchu that remain unsolved.
- The spiritual importance of the sacred mountains and the surrounding nature.
Return to Cusco via Hydroelectric
At the end of the guided tour, we will descend again by Consettur Bus to Puente Ruinas. Afterwards, we will begin the return hike to Hydroelectric (approx. 2 hours and 30 minutes), following the same scenic route alongside the railway line, surrounded by unique natural landscapes.
Upon arrival at Hydroelectric, our tourist transport will be waiting to begin the road trip back to Cusco.
During the return, we will once again travel through the beautiful landscapes of the high jungle and the Andes, arriving in the city of Cusco approximately between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., thus concluding an unforgettable experience at one of the wonders of the world.
